Guide dogs and assistance dogs

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome at our practices.

Communication needs

Please tell us if you have a communication need. This may include needing information in a different format, help to communicate with staff, or support because of a disability, impairment or sensory loss.

Accessible Information Standard

The Accessible Information Standard tells health and care organisations how they should support people with communication needs relating to a disability, impairment or sensory loss.

We can record your communication needs and share them with relevant NHS services where appropriate, so you do not have to repeat them every time.

Examples of support we can offer:

  • large print
  • easy read
  • audio
  • Braille
  • British Sign Language support
  • communication support at appointments
