What the service can help with

This service provides simple wound care and suture removal in line with the service specification.

• Suture removal
• Simple wound care dressings
• Cleaning and dressing of simple lacerations or grazes
• Minor burns and scalds
• Skin flaps
• Splinters
• Post-surgical wound dressings, but not wound checks
• Wound packing, such as pilonidal sinus wounds
• Wound dehiscence where wounds are granulating and healing
• Lower limb simple leg ulcer dressings
• New diabetic foot ulcers

Appointments are booked directly by your own GP practice. If your practice is listed on this page, please contact your own GP practice and ask about referral to the Leicester Wound Care Service.
