Clinical, operational and leadership developments

Dishley Grange Medical Practice enhancements

This month, we are pleased to announce the expansion of appointment capacity for vulnerable patients at Dishley Grange Medical Practice. An additional pre-bookable session each week will now be available, helping us to better support patients with complex needs and limited access.

We also warmly welcome back Dr Raman Bedi as a permanent member of the Dishley Grange team. Dr Bedi brings a wealth of clinical experience and dedication to the community.

At the same time, we extend our sincere thanks to Fariya Ahmad for her hard work and service. Fariya has now moved on from the organisation, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.

Practice-wide clinical and operational developments

Digital blood pressure management

We have implemented a new automated digital process for the collection of blood pressure readings across all our sites. This initiative will allow us to proactively and aggressively manage hypertension, a key risk factor for cardiovascular events. Our aim is to improve early identification and ensure tighter clinical control through better data flow and actionable alerts.

NHS Health Checks

Our teams are currently conducting six NHS Health Checks per week, with an ambition to scale up this capacity over the summer months. We are working closely with local Public Health teams to showcase how effective delivery of Health Checks can be achieved in a primary care setting, helping to reduce long-term health inequalities.

Call handling & leadership updates

Strengthening team leadership

  • We are delighted to welcome Davinder Pal Singh as a new manager across Willows Health. His leadership will enhance patient access and operational oversight.
  • Emily Pateman joins as the new site lead at Demontfort Surgery.
  • Riah Dogra joins as the new site lead across Willows Health, supporting our networked leadership model.

Patient advice and liaison

We are in the initial stages of establishing a Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) across Willows Health. This service will serve as a centralised point for patient feedback, guidance, and concerns—supporting transparency, compassion, and improved patient experience.

Medicines management & end-of-life care

Batch prescribing

To improve medicine access and reduce avoidable delays, 65% of all repeat prescriptions are now issued through batch prescribing. This ensures that patients receive their regular medication on time, especially those on long-term treatments.

Bereavement support

We have strengthened our after-death care processes by appointing a dedicated administrator. This ensures that bereaved families receive responsive, compassionate support, aligned with the values of our high-quality end-of-life service. The new role will also ensure timelier documentation, support coordination, and sensitivity in all post-bereavement communications.

Birthday MOT for patients with long-term conditions

If you have a chronic or long-term condition (such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, or high blood pressure), your annual health review will now be scheduled based on your birthday month.

We call this your "Birthday MOT" – a dedicated time each year to check in on your health, review your medications, and ensure everything is well-managed.

This makes it easier for you to plan ahead and helps us provide timely, personalised care. You'll receive a recall or invitation near your birthday with all the details on what to expect and how to book.

Look out for your Birthday MOT invite – your health deserves a yearly check-up!
